A poppy from Mel A very nice Boulder Opal Apache Sage from the Mimbres Valley in the Gila Mtns, NM An Owyhee A Morgan Hill Poppy Red Horn Coral presumably from Utah And my absolute Favorite cab of all *I think this material was collected by John Schmidt of Bearcreek Lapidary* at Woodward Ranch Sorry about the animal hair... ;DS

I can plainly see why these are some of your favs. That BO is sensational!!! I really like the colors...they "POP" right out at ya. Love the last pic too. Really like the banded agate and the fire agate. Steve

It's intriguing how we all like different stones. When Ed, or anyone else for that matter, posts a dozen or so stones each person chooses a different favorite...I'm really, really partial to the Owyhee, love how the fractures run the length of the cab. Love the shape and the pattern, has a lot of "character".
Ed gifted the Apache Sage to me... I'd been looking for a nice cab of that material for a long time. I understand it isn't being mined any more but I plan to get down to the Mimbres Valley one of these days to look for myself.
So my problem lies with the fact that a lot of the cabs I think are beautiful are pieces Ed wants to keep for himself...we warred over many a dendritic agate on eBay.
