What would you do with this rock if you had it in your garden? Many years ago we imported some Brazilian Agate Nodules, this one was found in the bottom of one of the barrels. It's been in my garden ever since. Derek

I'd slice a piece off the bottom to make sure it laid flat & use that piece for cabs!
Do you know what the inside looks like? It's beautiful *wipes a tear*

That puppy looks like it's about two feet in diameter!!!
I'd split it open to see if it was worth pursuing further, but wouldn't cut it in the middle, maybe 1/3 in.
Drill a series of 1/4" holes with a hammer drill around the circumference where you want the cut. Then tap in a bunch of tapered pins to pop it apart.
If it turns out to be an exceptional aggie, see how much a stone fabricator with a big saw (quarry, countertops, head stones) would charge per cut.
When Doc sees this, he's gonna tell you to build a wire saw. ;D

Just by looking at the top of it where it is chipped, it looks like it has potential. I would take a rock hammer and chip at (in the picture) upper right hand edge to see what else there is. Tami
