I can't make it to the Richardson's trip in late June but I'm planning a trip to the Ochocos June 13-15. I'm going to drive to Prineville on the 12th. Go to Maury Mountain and the Paulina limbcast area on the 13th, then got to White Fir Springs and the Ochoco Agate Beds on the 14th. Digging on the 15th will probably be limited to the piles of rough at Richardson's. If anyone wants to meet up out there or if anyone going on the Richardson's trip would like information on any of these spots let me know.

I can set my vacation any time I want. Last time I went a late rain kept me out of Richardson's ranch. I tried to find some localities southeast of Prineville but had no luck finding the dig. I'd sure appreciate some tips. |

My plan is to get to Prineville late on Thursday the 12th, stay in a motel that night and head out about 7ish Friday morning. We could meet in the Fred Meyer parking lot in Prineville at 7. Friday night I'm planning on camping near the limbcast area. Saturday morning drive back through Prineville and out to the thunderegg beds. Saturday night camp somewhere then be back in Portland by noon Sunday. Richardson's opens at 7 am according to there website so I think I'll have time to stop there on the way back and go through some of their enormous piles of rough.
If you're going to stay out there longer you could probably do a day or two at Richardson's and either go back to one of the places we go to on the weekend or check out a couple other places.

Trip was pretty good. Weather was great and we saw a lot of country. Didn't get as much rock as I would have liked, mainly because we didn't spend enough time in any one place. I'll post some pictures soon.
