finally got a chance to sneak downstairs and play with rocks. first up a nice little 25mm x 18mm of crazy lace, you never know what's going to be the finished pattern until you're done:  speaking of never knowing, here is a 30mm X 22mm hunk of some kind of lace agate:  and backlit:  looks like an eyeball sorta. here are a couple brazilian agates (both 30mm x 22mm), the backlit photos didn't turn out  ,   here is a piece of some sort of jasper (30mm x 25mm) that i got a long time ago from Bearcreek, somebody just posted a similar material in here, i'll have to go look what they called it:  and finally a nice 30mm x 22 mm oval of some colorful pet wood:  thanks for looking! I was prepared to make #1 my favorite, it is outstanding....
But then I saw the backlit photo of the second one with the ice tree.
So I have a front lit favorite and a backlit favorite!

That pet wood sure is colorful and the fine lines in that jasper are something else. Nice work!

Grreat cabs. Those crazy lace are so cool. I believe the unknown to be Owyhee jasper.

Sweeet stuff KD. My favorite is the 1st Crazy Lace. I like the window that shows so much depth within the stone. My 2nd favorite is the Brazilian. Can I have a 3rd, 4th, and 5th favorite too???

Wow, I almost missed these KD. I haven't been around here much lately and just happen to look on page 2, and there you were. Great cabs as usual. It should be getting warm enough for you to be spending more time in the basement cabbing. No excuses now!!!!
