Looks like graveyard point plume agate to me...you may want to slab one and check to see if you see some plumes...however looking at the outside in picture 2 I would definitely say it is graveyard point plume agate.

the primary question to answer is hardness. Opalite is very soft (like a 5 if I recall correctly) whereas the agates will be at least a hard 7 up to a 9.
and, rethinking your description: waxy. If softer and waxy then definitely probably opalite. Opalite is like jasper in that it is found in all sorts of colors and patterns.
