I've never visited this section before, but I have so many cabs and slabs lying around that I thought wire wrapping would be a good way to "finish" them.I've only looked at the first ten pages and already have gleaned lots of good information ;DI should have known this would be the case! Especially helpful were the posts about "grooved " cabs" since I have a Glasstar machine with the head for doing this-I would like to KISS and show the whole piece. Why hide what one has selected from the slab? Two questions:would a little glue in the groove be a good idea?If so, what kind? THANKS,Mike.

I'm glad to hear that you like my idea about groove wraps! I once wrapped this way a tumbled stone that had a slight concavity on one of its sides. I found useful to put some super glue in the groove, eitherway the tensionned wire would not had been sit in the groove. But if there are no such concavities, there's really no need for any glue and the system is very secure. Adrian PS. Don't forget to post your groove wraps

Adrian, not sure if you're familiar with the acronym KISS: Keep It Simple, Stupid! Mike isn't kissing his rocks - are you, Mike?
LOL
