With all the news lately about tornadoes ravaging our country, I thought I would tell you about the close call I had with Mother Nature recently. A few days ago, here in South Carolina where I live we had a terrible storm come up very quickly. It was so threatening, I was really worried we might suffer some severe damage from it. Sure enough, before much longer a tornado touched down right in my neighborhood!! I ran for the safest spot in the house while listening for sounds of howling winds and splintering wood. I was so worried that I decided to leave my safe hiding spot and check for damage on my home. I could still hear the roaring wind but I decided to check each room anyway (I know, probably very foolish). Just as I got to my garage, to my horror a small tornado hit the work shop area where I had all my lapidary equipment set up!! I was lucky to escape uninjured, but not before I had a brief second to photograph the tornado as it was leaving it's trail of devastation behind. Here is the photo, for those of you who are interested: Ha, ha.... Man, I am such a liar! Now before anyone gets the wrong idea, I know how terrible the damage from a tornado can be, and my heart goes out to those who have suffered the fury of one recently. Vance aka free4rms

Vance, You only had me hoping nothing happened when you got to the rock work shop and all your lapidary equipment and rocks. that would have been devastating! Love your Tornado Cab and I'm sure glad I don't live in an area prone to tornados. My heart goes out to all those ever effected by them though. Steve

Vance: Great looking cab. Good story too . This is one of my favorite "tornado" cabs. www.gametrails.com/Tahoma Tornado of Light web.jpg[/img] It is a small 1 1/4" X 13/16" X 1/8" piece of Tahoma agate/jasper that is backlit by the sun. I haven't polished it yet because I am trying to decide if I want to put it into a small intarsia piece. It also doesn't look quite so unique unless it is backlit. chasfire
