Howdy All. Although I have plenty to do this weekend, I felt a need to re-acquaint myself with my wheels. So I dug through the drawers to find some candidates. These were elected. I had forgotten how difficult a well calibrated stone could be. The ovals are all 30X40s. The others are about 3" in size. The first is a mossy/plumey kind a thing with a whole lot going on inside. The next two are out of a slab of TeePee This is a jasper with some nice soft pastels Fifth is a beautiful piece of plume Next is two views of some Amethystine agate. Very very thin Some sort of jasper with some dendrites along the bottom. Don't know what this Green cab is. It looks like it should be translucent but it is not. It is rather soft and left a greasy fell on my hands Last is a thin piece of apple green jade. All in all I had a pleasant time working and was pretty satisfied with the results even though I hadn't done any cabbing for too long.

What some awesome cabs! My favs are of course the Teepee Canyon..especially the 1st one~! Close 2nd goes to the Sci-Fi and the 5th Plume after that. I'm gonna have to try to find some time to do a few this weekend. Thanks for sharing! Steve

Cutting calibrated cabs is a good way of finding out just how good one really is at cabbing! Nice work, I really like the plume.

Actually, the first three pics are the same stone. It was a slab of Thunder egg over 1/2" thick that I just started grinding on. A pocket rock to throw at the cyotes. Lucky dogs

I've never tried a calibrated cab, I don't want to find out how poor my skills are. lol I like the exotica jasper the best but that amethyst is excellent too. Nice work.
