Don't know how I never came across this board before... so HEY THERE!
Husband and I moved here about 4 years ago, (via Austin/Houston/Vermont/upstate NY) and have the rock sickness... Number 2 son digs wire wrapping, but is still a newbie. How fun to cut shape, polish and create ;D
Hoping I can share something pertinant with you folks, but I bet I am the one who will get schooled!
My current projects are building better equiptment (oldest son calls me "tool time". I have to take things apart when he isnt around to torture me about it. I like to plan (finish would be better) household items using polished rock for design. Stuff from trash and the dumpsters are best, totally recycled furniture!
Off to surf the site now!

Welcome! Can't wait to see pics of your setup.

Thanks for the welcome all! Husband and I just returned from a week of toddling through central Oregon, and McDerrmit area. Brought home lots of nifty things, and maps too! I seem to spend most of my time in the Owyhees, there is just too much to explore out there and its a quick trip, at least until you hit the back roads...One can never have too much plume, can they? We were in Prineville, stinking water, Burns and any other place I drove past that called my name. Must hit the recycling center for more buckets!
