Well I have to say this was a very dissapointing batch of cabs.
In here were many redos - even after being redone, they didn't turn out any better -
I apologize in advance, I got a pretty bad throat infection and was sick all of our long weekend (ours was last weekend) - I was on antibiotics for the infection and nothing tastes, smells or looks right since then - so maybe I'm just in a pissy mood - Some cabs are okay some are pretty bad, and others leave a bad taste in my mouth - Maybe it's just me... (damn PMS)
This one I'm rather happy with - and a prime example of tearing through a slab to get to a nice piece... Turritella
an okay piece of green moss agate - with druzy - it shine up nice but the druzy doesn't seem quite right...
green & red agate from British Columbia - it looks scratched & fractured but it isn,t - not too proud of this piece
blue lace - hmmm the shape is a little bigger than I wanted - it kinda overwhelms the stone -
This one is fabulous, it shines like mad - I think it's wood - got it from KD as a small preshaped piece - it's rub-on-your-face worthy!
montana agate - very thin piece that had an uneven crappy surface to begin with - so the white spot you see is a piece fallling out waiting to happen - it shine up nice though...
Ah, what can I say about this one, another montana - it looked fine and it seems my photo skills are improving and this one is scratched up to high heaven! - at first I thought it was the silver residue from the diamond belt (and some of it is) but then I see scratches - this one's good for the re-do, re-do pile
unknown piece - turned out okay I guess - I,m not thrilled with it
a redo of a green striped piece of something (agate probably) - shined up much better on the diamond belts - I like this one
tiger eye - this stuff is hard sometimes and soft sometimes on the same parts - if I'm grinding on the 80 grit it,s hard and it grinds to bits on the 1200 belt - go figure - I like the shine - this one flew off the dop
Finally this last one I do like - another example of getting a good piece from a slab - BC flowerstone - I picked this piece special...
Thanks for looking (sorry if the ugliness of these cabs hurt your eyes)
