Hi, New person here! ;D I was left some equipment by my late Grandfather and would like to know about it. I was sort of looking at trying this hobby out and was hoping someone could tell me more about this equipment. I've done some internet searching and found a little, but I think this equipment is old enough that it is no longer made, although the company is still around. Could someone tell me if what I have is what I think it is, if is worth keeping or maybe I should sell it and start with something else. Also if anyone has any idea as to what each piece might be worth, it would be helpful for insurance purposes with the other equipment in my shed. I think the slab saw (?) is a Lortone, like the Triple tumbler. The tumbler says model FDC. All motors appear to work. Again any info would be greatly appreciated.

Everything you have there looks very usable. The first is a rock saw, looks to be in good shape and clean. The second is a 3 barrel tumbler, those barrels are 15# barrels. You sure could polish up some material in a hurry with that set up. It is definitely worth keeping. Good luck with it..............Tony

Few hundred in used equipment. I would keep it. The tumbler is a bit large, but most folks end up wanting larger after a while.
THe LS-10 is OK. I have one. Is not much use as a trim saw because of the sides, but fast and quiet.
I recommend a small tiles saw for trimming, and a small vibe for tumble finishing cabs.

Knock the rust off and get to it! That's NICE gear for getting started! WISH I had it! Buy some coolant for the saw and some grit for the tumbler and you're good to go.

Lortone hasn't used that color in a long time but those both look to be in great shape. For insurance purposes I'd look up the Lortone list prices and use 1/2. Used prices depend a lot on the buyer. Actual values would be $300-$500.

BTW-If you have a limited supply of rock you dont need to run all 3 barrels at once but you should run each barrel you are using about 2/3 full or so.
