Well Saturdays set just wasn't enough. Except for the large free forms, all were done using a mechanical dop stick. No trouble. While these were being worked, I had this group drying on wooden dowels using Epoxy 330. I think I will throw away my dop wax and pot. This works great. Didn't loose a one. No wax too close to the edges to prevent good girdling. And I was able to apply more pressure on my wheels than I ever thought possible. Don't remember who suggested this on this site, but Thanks bunches. They were even a whole lot easier getting off the dops. Just a little action with a razor blade and off they popped. I am getting older now and I believe I will move up from 1/4"dowels to 1/2" and I am going to increase the length from 3 1/2' to about 6". Less fatigue I think. I don't believe the quality of this set is as good as the last set but I only took half the time on them. Any ole who here is the latest set. 1. Brazilian 2. A heel off an otherwise drab Brazilian 3. A slice off of the same Thunder egg as the 1/2" thick pocket rock I listed yesterday. Like this stone Back lit 4. A little plume. SO SO 5. A hard red jasper with a filled fracture. 6. A piece of Red River Jasper out of Africa. Wish I had a bunch of this stuff. 7. Unknown agate. I see it around on this site but can't remember the name. Help please. 8. Another piece of a slab of Tee Pee. Too small to see or get pics of. Boy does a good camera show defects when they are blown up this size. I guess I will have to get a smaller monitor. Enjoy and thanks for the tips.
