Anybody have any good thing to say about the lower priced sanding wheels available as compared to Nova sanding wheels? I find the price attractive, but.........

The short answer; Don't do it! I tried the 320 wheel when it was time to replace my 280 Nova wheel that I had used for 2 years. After 3 months, it was wearing through the paper-yes, paper- and by 6 months I bought a Nova wheel to replace it. That wheel is now 1 year old and still has plenty of life left.

The only "Nova wheels" I've bought were from Diamond Pacific. My plan for getting these is trying to snag a deal on ebay before you actually need to replace them. This is getting to be more difficult. There are also some dealers off ebay that I've used. Hard wheels are another story. Jadecarver wheels are every bit as good or better than DP Galaxy.

Stoner/Stardiamond: Thank you guys! I have been using the hard wheels from Jadecarver for the last six months, and am very happy with them. So far, I see no apparrant wear, and they are cutting like new. I was sort of hopeing the lower cost sanding wheels might be as good a deal as the hard wheels I got from Jade Carver. I will order the 280 wheel I need from Bombay Bazarwho is listing the Nova wheels at $147.00. I have had saws from them, and been happy.

Ronsrocks on eBay has nova wheels for $88.00 each. I got all my wheels from him.

This isn't related to Chinese wheels but has anyone tried the Eastwind Flex wheels? I'd really like an end user performance report. The manufacturer (of course) says they are better, cheaper, and more aggressive. Does "more aggressive" equate to shorter life?
