www.mostateparks.com/resourcecenter/nr08/312.htmThe above link gives more information, but here's some I copied. You can buy, sell, swap or just admire rocks, minerals and fossils at the Missouri Mines Rock Swap June 13 through June 15 at Missouri Mines State Historic Site in Park Hills. Sponsored by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, the event is from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. It is open to the public. If anyone is going let me know as we are going to have a booth there with the drusy quartz! Sandy

I plan to bring my family Saturday afternoon. We won't be able to get there until about 2. I'm sure we'll be among the last ones out as they close! We went a couple of years ago & really enjoyed it.
The museum will be open, too, with free admission! Neat exhibits of minerals (among the best in the state) and mining.
Chinook203, will you have a name on your booth or is there some other way I can recognize you?
I plan to wear my St. Louis Mineral & Gem Society name tag. It is blue, in the shape of the state of Missouri, and has my name (surprise!), Brad Weatherbie, on it. If any of you other RTHers see me, please introduce yourself.
Besides the MO DNR, this show is also sponsored by the Mineral Area Gem and Mineral Society and the Greater St. Louis Assoc. of Earth Science Clubs (of which I am vice pres.)

Hey Brad! Glad I'll finally be able to meet some RTHers! We will be in the back row, maroon chevy truck and a black flat trailer, white tent. We should be the only ones there with all drusy quartz. We should have 3 or 4 tables set up, pretty much all drusy. Me and boyfriend (Sandy and Ed). We really don't have a name, just a hobby that hopefully helps us pay for a trip out west to do some more rock hunting! Sandy

We really enjoyed the show yesterday! To anyone undecided about going today: If you go, I think you'll be glad you did.
I found a number of things I had not seen before. One vendor had a variety of tumbled stones that were new to me. He said that he tumbled them himself in his group of eighteen 12-pound tumblers! Of course, I encouraged him to join us on RTH! My wife found several strand of beads that she plans to make into jewelry.
The musuem is interesting, too. It has two main rooms, one mostly for minerals and some mining displays, the other mostly for large equipment that was used in the mines.
Admission to the show and to the museum are both free this weekend. Even parking is free.

I did a serious bit of cramming buckets at the flatbed guy's set up. Also couldn't resist some beautiful pet woods and some slabs. A good time was had by all. Too tired to buy one of Sandy's BIG rocks.

We went home with only 3 of the big ones. We sold all of them except for the one great big square one, I traded that for some mineral specimens (Ed reeeeeally didn't want to carry it back to the trailer!)
