The last one on the right is like the cartoon where a tree is manufactured into a toothpick. That was what left of the orbs on the piece I thought was blue mountain. I forgot agate and regency rose

Those four are lovely, particularly the third one. Love that blue. Nice job on the shapes -- looks like your edge evolved as you worked the four (assuming they were done in that order). The last one looks like "claws out."

matt: I prefer to use cab templates for my shapes. If anyone ever wanted to set one of the cabs it is easier than a freeform. Symmetrical hangs better. I trace my shapes in pencil on the top, cut with the trim saw and retrace the shape on the back. I've used other cabs for templates but I have to remember which cab I used when I retrace. I do the claw thing when it is the only shape that will fit the material or when a template shape breaks or has other problems and I have to improvise. The claw was originally longer, but the tip broke and I needed to fix it on the fly.
I think I do a good job in design, but am about a c+ cutter. The shapes are pretty close to the template and the scanner distorts the shapes sometimes.
