I just finished a run of Apache Tears and they are super smooth but are dull. I hand polished a few on a felt wheel and they look great. I used Tin Oxide as polish what am I doing wrong do I need a differant polish? I ran the 600 grit and the Tin Oxide runs with plastic pellets. I am using a uv-10 vib. THANKS! Keith

I got a good shine with AO and ceramic media in a Lot-O. I never heard much good about plastic pellets in a vibe. Maybe that is part of the problem.

Kap, I just re-ran a bunch of tears in polish to use as filler using TO, and they turned out even better than when they went in using AO, In the original batch, They were done in the vibe start to finish.... 3 days in 120/220, 1 day in 500, 3 days in AO polish. But after another two days in TO, even mixed w/ agate, wow, 10 times better! forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/index.cgi?board=trtphoto&action=display&thread=23175link is pic of them after original run i'd say put them back in for two days or so. And i agree w/ deb, ditch the plastic pellets, I didn't like the results on any stone i had w/ em.
