Hi kids...Been catching up from being gone for a few months! Wanted to show some of the newbies what happens when you forget about stuff in coarse grind... This is polka dot jasper. The slab on the right (ain't it pretty with the pink?) has been sealed/sanded only. The stuff on the left I totally let go for weeks & weeks & weeks in coarse without recharging or even checking. When I finally did wash it...it has a polish like glass. You either have to be really lazy (kinda like me) or really commited to this for it to work but it CAN be done. This is the second batch I've done like this. These are some bruneaus and some Biggs (blue) that were in the same barrel & they have a nice finish too! (except for the dull rough on the left...I just wanted you to see it before polish) Thanks for looking all!

Great lookin stuff! I could never let it go that long without peeking, I'd go crazy! Those look great!
holdemplyer, I think what liz is saying is that she left them in 60/90 for SO long, that the grit broke down all the way to polish size and her rocks need no more steps!

Liz: Maybe I should take up your methods of waiting and waiting and waiting. I have a hard time with the tumbling process. I have gotten some nicely polished tumbled stones, but the last few batches have all had problems.
