Knots! Hi everyone, I cut this pet wood a few days ago and a very nice surprise revealed: many tiny knots. Knots are my favorite pattern in pet wood. So I polished the cut and some of the natural surfaces of this piece: My usual keyboard-scaled photo: And two close-ups of the knots: Thanks for looking, Adrian

Great chunk of wood. You can even count the growth rings and date it. Tremendous shine.

Awesome job Adrian! Shine like a mirror.
Lee - Tee-Hee! Did ya know the green & blue was a reflection? Or am I being a dork?
Just think Adrian...if you had come across that piece of wood right after it was originally felled & you had to saw through all those knots...why you'da been cursing like a sailor! BUT...since the whole piece was petrified...you cut through it like butter!

Thanks all! Tweet, haha, those trees you see are in the "wood" that is stretching between my blockhouse and the neighbour block-house Liz, yes, it's good the hardness of the pet wood it's not proportional to the orriginal wood, eitherway I wouldn't had cut this piece. Adrian
