I have found some interesting rocks here in Iraq that already have a *very* desirable shape and are smooth, I was wondering what y'all would recommend for tumbling, whether or not to skip the course stuff? Any help is much appreciated, Lyle.

If it were me, I'd run them for a week in coarse grit just to be sure. Because if the surface isn't really quite as smooth as you think it is, then all the other stages will be a waste of time. -Don

Most of the time I like to run at least one week in the course. But if thay are smooth with no sharp Edges then you should be able to skip the course and go right to the fine.

The 60/90 step rounds the rocks to the shape you want. The subsequent steps mostly remove scrathes from previous steps. If you like the shapes as found you can skip the 60/90 step with no problem.
