The belt broke on my Thumbler as I was making a course run on some flint and as I was searching on the site for a place to get another belt my wife suggested I try a vaccum cleaner belt until I could get one ordered. After a quick trip to the local Lowes Hardward store I found a belt for an Eureka vaccum that fits perfectly. There are two in a package and are priced at 83 cents for the two. ;D ;D Jack

Thanks for the tip! ;D
I don't have much trouble with my Model-B belts as long as I buy them from Thumler's.They seem to last a log time nut,,,,,NEVER buy the O ring cheepo's for 50 cents!!!

I typically hear 2-3 years for Thumler's belts and days or at most weeks for vacuum belts, o-rings, etc.

I use the "O" rings that come in seal kits for our trucks at work. The shop guys don't use the bigger o rings on the mixers or the semi and they are the right size for my tumblers.

knapper42....Do you know the number of the vac belt you purchased??? I bought two number RD-2 Eureka belts($2.43) from Walmart that seem to be the exact circumferance however they're much thicker and seem stronger but the tumbler motor won't start turning even without a tumbler on the rollers. The local Lowes had none.
I hesitate to ease the tension on the vac belt by slightly slotting the two bolt holes that hold the motor to it's frame. Ant ideas??? Roy

It seems to me you could spend the next two yearts trying to find a 50 cent o-ring that would work ok or spend the $5 for a Thumler's belt and tumble for two (or more) years.
