I met Ralph and Mary Ann at a rock show at the end of May in Woodland Hills, CA. I'd been looking forward to the show all month, we don't get them too often in my area, and I read in one of their posts here that they would be there. I sent them a PM to tell them about a sale somewhat locally (listed in the swap section) and Mary Ann answered with such a warm and gracious note inviting me to look them up at the show.
I've got to tell you, I've not often met such a great couple. I bought some rocks from them - of course they gave me a sweet deal, but more than that, I made some new friends. They gave me some invaluable advice on rocks and the rock world and introduced me to John (Johnsjems) who was also warm and friendly. I went back a second day - mainly just to say "nice to meetcha" and they loaded me up with crates of "mystery rock" that I'm having a blast going through and slabbing up. I don't have a camera that takes decent pics up close, but I'll try to get some pics posted soon. i didn't want too much time to pass before letting everyone know what a FIND these two are!
Thanks so much for the rocks, advice and time with you, Ralph and Mary Ann. I look forward to the next time we meet, and I'll be doing business with you on your Etsy page, as well.
PS...the sodalite slabbed up beautifully, Ralph - thanks! And the chrysicolla is superb! Excellent chunk!
