I heard about this months ago when I was back in school. I was speaking to the owner of a rock shop about lake superior agates and he gave me a flyer. Wish I could go, but hundreds of miles away now.

Haha, yeah It's further away than I can manage being a college student with a vehicle that gets upwards of twelve miles per gallon, as well as having a full time summer job. I was definitely interested in going though, I hope you have a great time.

Well since it came up recently in another thread that nobody seemed keen to meet me when I got there, and since jimrbrto has been so kind as to twist my words to make me sound like a whiner, I think it best to bump this thread and let others judge .... Or that every dealer at every show should automatically know who you are and welcome you with open arms? Get real!... I will invite folks to look at this thread and judge if I had a reasonable expectation of a warm greeting and a little chit-chat. Perhaps it was Richardo who posted, and perhaps Claudia really had no idea who I was. Perhaps I should have said "Hey how about a tour" - but I've come to feel that the intention of the postings here was not to facilitate face-2-face meeting but just to promote a venue where they would be selling. I think I come by this opionion honestly, based on experience. |

I think you have to squint pretty hard to see petty vindictiveness in a single missed character. IN this world there are some silly people who let go of the substance of a discussion at odd moments and make a point about grammer. Don't be like that.

Actually, Daniel, it was both names mis-spelled that struck me as odd.
