This is some of the prettiest Aventurine I have ever tumbled. It came out of the tumbler a few weeks ago. Even though I took these pictures out in the sun the picture does not do the stones justice, they almost all have a beautiful mirror shine. This batch came out today, there is a picture of the batch and then some individual pictures of my favorites. This amethyst is the size of the palm of my hand. Bloodstone Tigereye I am guessing plume agate. Enjoy Tami

Nice job. I really like the green colour of the adventurine, and with the sparkles it almost looks like green goldstone (if there is such a thing). -Don

Yes there is such a thing as green goldstone, I have some, haven't had a chance to tumble any of it yet. In the pictures the sparkles in the aventurine look goldtone they are actually silver tone. Tami

Hi Tami A great batch, On Taking a photo you might like to try this
1 in full sun put yourself INBETWEEN the rocks and the sun (sun on your back)
2 use a black cloth to display on
The problem with digital cameras is they shut down with the glare comming back at them from the Subject (stones)
Im sure others will correct me if im wrong I have struggled with this problem and found out #1 above works a treat.

Nic stuff Tami. You sure have a couple of clear quartz there! I like the Tiger Eye best. Steve

Yes the tiger eye turned out great. Clear quartz has always tumbled well for me. Tami

Hmmm ... aventurine ... looks like this rock that's all over the mountain washes around here. I wonder if it's the same stuff. I never gave "the ugly things" a second look or thought. I'm gonna have to check it out.

Huh ... just image-googled aventurine. Sure enough, looks like "the green crap" that's laying all over the place. There's also what looks to be the same stuff but it's an orangy color.
Man, I need to get some of you rockhounding experts out here. I'm probably surrounded by a bunch of good stuff and don't even know it.
