well, after many frustrating attempts I've finally got some AZ tigereye cabs. probably not the best choice for the beginner, but I love this stuff. this first one cracked when I began shaping it, but refusing to through it out, I dipped it in super glue and finished it up     more to come soon -Mike |

You picked a difficult stone to work with for your first cabs, but you did a very good job with it. I especially love that last one!

I've not seen it with the reds before. The piece that I worked was more like the second piece on there.
They turned out great!

I got this stuff from Tucson Mineral and Gem World, but it comes from the asbestos mines in the Globe area.
As for the rain, thursday afternoon we got about 1.5 in., nice start to the monsoons.
