Okay, I went to a yard sale today and bought about 40.00 worth of rock. I gotsta go back tomorrow for round 2...but my wallet says NO! I picked up some really cool stuff, and stuff I've never seen before. Anyone wanna take a stab??? Cool pastel colors. Picture Jaspers (what type) and no idea on the wavey one, and Poppy Jasper, dendritic agate?? some sort of poppy agate? Thanks! Steve

I don't know about taking a stab, but I'd love to take a slab of that first stuff! Awesome finds - I think the picture jasper is Owyhee. Besides that, the only one I recognize is the poppy jasper!

Don't recognize the top stuff but I've sen similar patterns in some of the Flint Ridge, Ohio and Alibates Flint from Texas. The wavy one looks like Palm root. Lots of that here in Calif and you get the wavy patterns when you cut through the roots lengthwise. The picture Jasper is Owyhee Jasper and similar dendritic Jasper comes from all over. Wyoming Sagebrush Jasper might be a possibility on that one. Orbicular agate is a dunno....Mel

The 2 under the fancy jasper from India are dendritic opalite from Australia.

The first ones look like flint but I have yet to see that kind coming out of Flint Ridge...could be Alibates as Mel has said...have no other comments on the rest...other than where's the cabs...very pretty stuff Steve!!
