Richardson's Prineville actually was a blast. Met up with Tony and traded 80lb misc pet wood and mahogany for a 75lb chunk of his recent pet wood buy. We swapped pow-wow stories, and met up a 2nd time at Elkind's rock shop. I got a pic of Tony standing on top of the 10cent pile. (later).
I got some neat blue jade and some quality slabs and a chunk of a flower jasper that is blue & gold (also later). Saw Bruce "Rocks J2B2" and Chmingrock from ebay. Met some other guys with nice stuff too.
I went on the Hampton Butte field trip and the White Fir thunderegg trip. Got stuff from both sites but no fantastic finds. Stopped at Maury Mountain, but only found one small sliver of moss agate, so I went back to Elkind's and got about 13lbs of stuff her dad dug 30 years ago. (From here on, referred to as "that material I got the DAY I went to Marry Mountain." HaHa.)
I will go to 4th of July pow-wow in Madras next weekend. One guy had some slabs of Idaho Moss that was really neat and J2B2 had some pink plume slabs that I want too.
Anyone looking for something from the pow-wow or from Richardson's should PM me by the 3rd, and I will likely be able to shop for you.
