Well this is a little of everything! A few were redone from previous sessions and one was forgotten others were new - the BO is new.
Here they all are:
Double flow obsidian - I don't think obsidians like the diamond belt - I think they still need the cerium oxide to polish up (I'm not done with these.....)
This piece I found again - Stefan had sent this to me quite a long time ago - now was the time to try it out - it's quite large, I'll probably keep this one for myself (or at least in the family) - it's thicker at the bottom... it's still pretty nice
Here is an unknown (chert maybe??) - this was a redo - it looked all scratched up from last time
My first love.... procelain jasper - this one is tiny - smaller than a dime - I love the color on this one
This was a redo - the first is the redo - the second is a before - I wasn,t happy as it had scratches, - brought it back down to the 600 belt and got it back up to par - Montana agate - they shine like only agates can!!!
small piece (dime sized) of BO - this one has purple flash only at the top - couldn,t do much with it (I'm still to scared to dome these - this one may stay in the family since the back is pretty wobbly and it has a crater at the front but I'd already gotten a request for this one so who knows???
this is non-Canadian sodalite - it,s blue not white!
This might be Mook I'm not sure - but I think it is
This one is a redo too - rainbow-but-mostly-green obsidian - I reworked this one since I wasn,t happy with the blotchy shine - I brough this one all the way back to the 220 belt - it looked nice until it got to the 3000 belt then it went blotchy again - this one will probably get a go at the cerium oxide too.
Thanks for looking - if anyone has a clue how to get a proper shine on obsidian, please let me know - previous ones turned out great - maybe they just don't like the 14,000 diamond belt???
