They came out dull. I did seven days with all four steps. Not sure if I did it wrong or what. I do not have any filler of any kind. Dawn

What kind of rocks? Did you clean thoroughly between stages? especially before the polish stage? Also, did you do a burnish stage? (tumble in Borax overnight) One more thing, seven days in the coarse stage isn't always long enough, especially for hard stuff like agates and the harder jaspers. The coarse stage will determine the end result. Do you have pics?

I've sometimes had rocks in stage one for a month or more. They go fast after that, but if stage one isn't done right, the subsequesnt stages can't fix it.

Thank you all for the info. I have two more batches that I am going to start over in stage one. I'll start these over too.

Dawn,
Don't be discouraged! My first batch went back to stage one three times before I finally figured out what I was supposed to be getting. We started that batch at the end of December and I finally pulled it out at the end of March.
