Oh, you're killin' me! Great stone. I have no clue!
I think it's the big bad candy agate. Does it help to put music to my entry?
Wonderful stone, and thanks for the contest. Can't wait to find out what it really is! K

Lots of guesses and PM's but still no one with the correct guess. I'll post a clue in a day or two...if nobody gets it before then. Steve

K, that's a great idea, putting it to music. After a guess or two, I tried to name it instead but he wouldn't budge.lol. it is a beauty!

Hmmm, he's not accepting our suggestions for names, huh?
I was going to call it "oatmeal stone!"

Nobody's got it right yet. Here's a list of what it's not: Fossilized Shells (Brachiopods), Bruneau Jasper, Petrified Clam, Dino Dung (Coprolite), Root Beer Agate, Australian Lace Agate, Brazilian Agate, Montana Agate, Amber, Carnelian, Confeti Agate, and Condor Agate. These are from all the names that have been guessed. 1st Clue....a close-up shot 2nd Clue...There are currently 13 different claims covering several square miles on the mountain and lastly...the Pot your Playing for. Petrifed Wood (arizona), Botswana, and unknown from Rockhobbit. Good-Luck. All Guesses MUST be PM'd to me... posted guesses will not be counted. One per person. I'll announce the winner when it gets guessed. THANKS! ;D Steve

Well then, I have had my eye on that Laguna and will take that one for sure, but it would be no fun not to share the rest of the wealth so I have pm'd Tony and Brian.
Thanks tons, this was fun!

Congrats Lori! I was on the right track with my "research", haha! I spent way too much time on this, but I learned a lot and had a blast. I was looking up "biscuit" agates, just to make sure my Laguna guess was right, when I noticed that somebody won. Thanks for the contest, I learned a lot about agates (I was SURE it was an agate), at least I had that right.

Thank karenfh. I know exactly what you mean and if the contest wasn't offered, would we have ever gone searching?
Once Tony and Brian make their choice, there will be a forth one left. pm your addy to me and I'll send it to you.
