Hello, everyone! This week I was in a rockhounding trip with two of my rock friends. On Monday evening we arrived at the house that was our shelter for three nights: Next day, we went early in the morning for rockhounding The valley is very peaceful and friendly in the beginning... ...but once you keep going upstream, it becomes wilder... and wilder... ...and wilder The water is not deep, but there are a few natural small "pools" Finally, we arrived at a cascade Near this cascade, after a few hiking through the forrest... ... there's a spot that we name "the agate garden" You simply have to dig the leafs to uncover the agates in rhiolite In the afternoon, we came back and headed a few kilometers... ...for a well deserved and relaxing bath in the same place I was with my girls a few weeks ago: Then a barbecue: and a good rest: The next day was basically for rest and for washing and sorting the rocks we found: Then, we headed to another place to search pet wood. The haul was pretty small here, excepting that big pet wood that my friend found: There were very nice landscapes in our way back home: All in all, there were some great days to remember and some very nice rocks we found. Thank you for looking, Adrian

That's just what I needed! Thanks Adrian! That was just like a virtual rockhounding trip for me. What soem great pictures, and it looks like a lot of amazing fun. Not only fun rockhounding, but fun with your friends too. The spas and bar-b-que looks refreshing and tasty. The rocks you found look so darn nice, and the country you are lucky enough to rockhound in look so serene and peaceful. Can't wait to see some of your new finds cabbed and sliced. Thanks again Adrian. Steve

Wow, what an amazing trip! The scenery there is absolutely gorgeous! Everything is so green & lush, unlike where I live where there is just mostly heat, dirt, scrub brush & cactus. Are those places all in Romania? I'm looking forward to seeing the agates that you got there too. Thanks for posting those pictures Adrian - it really was a virtual rockhounding trip that I needed badly! Patti

Thank you all.
Steve, now I understand why you say this land is so serene and peaceful. I had a look at your post where you guided those three guys and THAT's a wild landscape indeed. And frightening wild-life too.
Patti, yes, this place is in Romania.
Susan, thanks for the compliments ;D. Next time you're invited ;D. Some things to know before accepting: toilet in the yard, water in the fountain (fountain outside yard) ;D
Ralph/MaryAnn, come on, picking the rocks from beneath the leafs is the best part, LOL. The temps were very pleasant, about 25...27 degrees (Celsius) and 10...12 in the early morning.

What, nobody else saw the frog?
Thanks so much, Adrian, for sharing your wonderful trip! Your pics look so cool and refreshing, after our little heat wave.
