;D Just joined and saying hi from the Land of Enchantment, :Dyes New Mexico, the Corrales, NM area [next to Albuquerque]. Looking forward ::)to participate in all areas........... have had a great interest for many years............. rock crystal of course is my favorite............. am trying to sculpt it now.............. and have about a 300 pound piece of petrified wood on my carving stand............. where I am working on my 250 year project.........

replying to myself............... I have a mini-sonic 14 that I will be looking forward to use........... I make jewelry [lots of turquoise] silver, and nickel silver............. crosses........... my pieces are mixed with cottonwood, aspen, and russian olive............... I go from power carving [sculpting] use of an air compressor to use of little hand tools................ I work outside under the shade when the weather is ok and in the winter work inside the garage............... will report more later..........

Welcome! I live next door in Arizona & do quite a bit of collecting in NM. It sounds like you are a very talented guy & I'm sure lots of people here are interested in seeing your work. I'm also a jeweler/lapidary who has done some carving in my time, but mainly work with cabs & PMC these days. I look forward to seeing what you do... Patti
