this is the style in which I learned and perfected the art of wrapping square wire with half round. getting the wraps even on the edge and tight together is at first challanging. I found that after making a few of these bangles, adding my own little twists and following other designs came easier. Labrodorite and hematite are the stones used. There have been no new pics placed in the wrapping forum in the past couple of days (hint, hint) so I figured I'd post this.

That is just amazing. I think any Jane (or Betty, or Sue, or Tami, or Karen) would be proud to wear your beautiful creation. I am really enjoying all the Labrodorite that's been posted recently, and I love hematite. Beautiful combo, beautiful work. So, do those Lab. beads have holes thru the middle? Do you have a tutorial? My sis is really into bracelets, she is a Bead Retreat dealer, and is getting creative on her own, too. She attended the Lincoln rock show w/me, and had a blast and bought some rock beads to do her own thing with. Info would be appreciated. K

Tami and Karen thank you for the compliment. Karen, this is the link to the tutorial for the basic bracelet. All you have to do is type in your email address to watch the free tutorials. You will end up with "free tips for the day" emailed back to you (that's what happened to me) but some of those tips are kind of informative. Just don't get caught up spending money. Take advantage of the freebies and help from others. Once you get the basic pattern down, you can easily add to the design. I actually brought all my material to the computer and made bracelets as I watched the video. I will caution one thing though, the video starts the first wrap with square wire and the rest of the wraps with 1/2 round. Do all the wraps with 1/2 round otherwise the bracelet will not look uniform. Watch the video a couple of times before you start the bracelet. I'll pm you other pointers so this post does not end up the size of a book. wire-sculpture.com/store/index.php?p=page&page_id=Video_On_Demandanother free tutorial for a different style bracelet www.lotusbeads.com/tuts/tutorial1.pdfAlso, here is a link for making rings. I got this link from another post on this site and added it to my favorites. www.dawnandevan.com/cabochan_wire_wrap_tutorial.htmOnce you get the basics down, the only boundry is your imagination. If you or your sister have any questions, just ask.

I like the way you scroll the ends of the wrap wires on top. Very different. The Dawn and Dave ring tutorial is great-it finally cleared up the secret of ring making for me! Preston's bracelet tutorial is great, it gives you a basic that you can take (as you have) to your own creative level.
Thanks for sharing! kj
