I'm headed for that part of the country on the 25th of July for two weeks. Does anyone know if there's any good rockhounding in the general area. I don't mind traveling a few miles either. Thanks for any help or information. Steve

Steve: You will not be too far from the states best pet wood location at Saddle Mountain, then a wee bit further on there is Ellensburg Blue (if you are lucky), Red Top for big blue/grey geodes, Teanaway river for blue/green jasp agate, and nephrite jade, Frost Mountain for geodes, crystals, and seam agate, at Plain, near Leavenworth there is Spider Web Serpentine, are nearby there is Soapstone. All these site would be within about 100 miles radius west of Moses Lake. Woody

Have a great trip Steve. My grandpa had a place at the lake. Some great fishing I had there about 16 yrs. ago.

Thanks Woody and Geoff, I guess I better start researching some of those areas. It sounds like it will be a great place to work...and hopefully have some time to do some rockhounding and/or fishing. Steve
