These are shots of my second ever tumble and the first batch out of my Lot O. I did not add borax and I over did the polish, so I have a lot of polish stuck in places Live and learn! I learned two main things: 1. use borax 2. do NOT mix hardnesses! It's SO tempting just to throw stuff in there, y'know? I used Connrock's recipe, but did not have Tripoli or Rapid Polish when I started. Instead, after the 1000 AO, I ran Rockshed AO for 24, then rinsed and then ran again for another 24 hours. I am VERY VERY impressed with the shine from the Lot O! Seems like even if you make a massive mistake, there will be shine. Here are the pix, which are not the greatest. I need to switch out my regular lens for my 100mm macro with polarizer flter: Group shot: Orbicular rhyolite (I think?) I got in an FRB from Wolfden. I *love* these rocks! Am going to retumble these because the polish got stuck in the eyes: Better pix with some bits and pieces. I think these would make great tree leaves: And here is a pile 'o honey, citrine: Eileen

That mushroom jasper/rhyolite is terrific looking. I've got a small slab of it, but now I want more. Nice looking citrine, too.

Thanks, guys!
I found some more of that eye stuff in the box, so I'm going to tumble that and retumble the other stuff at the same time.
I also ordered some turritella rough from greatrough.com Love that stuff!
I need to post the pix from my third batch. I have a fourth one going right now. Man, having a vibe REALLY speeds things along!

Beautiful tumbles. The citrine though, really glistens.

Thanks, guys!
So, is it mushroom jasper or orbicular rhyolite? Great Rough has it listed as the rhyolite.

Thanks, guys!
Wolfden,
We're tumbling a bunch of the rock you sent and it's a hoot to see how it comes out. Did you know there was a tiny bit of turritella stone in that box? Came out SO nice that I bought some rough to tumble more. And thanks for the jasper/rhyolite -- it's one of my favorites now. I'll post pix as the stuff comes out.
