Spent Sunday afternoon trying to wrap this cab. Took me almost 5 darn hours! I had to figure out how to make it happen first, then make it happen. I used 21guage round gf twisted wire and 20 guage square gf wire twisted and straight, with 22guage gf hr bindings. I got a descent shine this time. Held it up so you could see thru it. Well, Thanks for looking. I hope you like it. Tonja

Beautiful wrapping and cab, Tonya! I was going to ask the same question as Jeremy: is the bottom (point) of the cab steady? It looks like it could move towards us. All the three pics are showing the front, aren't they? Could we see the back, please? (Sorry Tweet, I stole your words ) Adrian

OOOOO I like the soft twisted tendrils of the wire *I feel like Nigella Lawson here* did you flatten those first? I hear my flock asking the same question that's in MY head!

How did I know that question was going to come up? ;D I must admit, the back looked good and clean until I had to tighten it up a bit. I'm still not sure if I'm going to leave the back like this or do alittle reconstruction. As you can see, I don't "finish" the backs of my cabs. I just give them a quick once over on the diamond disc and then I dop it to finish the front. The streak you see on the back is superglue that I missed when removing my dop nail. Thanks for your interest in my heart, I appreciate your comments. Tonja

That is such a pretty wrap! I love how you created the illusion of a heart shaped stone. The gold wire is so lovely

LOVE IT!! LOVE IT!! LOVE IT!! The shine is gorgeous and the overall effect is WOW!!! The unique way you have entrapped the cabochon in this pendant sends a powerful message - "Here is my heart, but if you don't treat me RIGHT, I might just slip away!" And the back is neat, too! Like I said: LOVE IT!! LOVE IT!! LOVE IT!! Lady B
