OK, I know I promised you all some pics of the cool contents in the rock box for the start of round 3...
SO HERE THEY ARE!
There is a veritable plethora of jewelry findings and accesories now!
Some more tumbling rough personally collected by me on Vancouver Island beaches
Assorted Red Jaspers and Dallasites
Some of the other miscelaneous do-dads to do with working rocks.
6" polishing pad, dop wax & rods, Dremel diamond wheels & burrs
Slabs & cabbers, Oh-yes, there's slabs!
Top-left is some chrysocola from D.D., followed by some rough cabbers from D.D. and a tiger eye cabber from me, some interesting cinnibar bearing pipeline canyon agate from D.D., a slice of my latest V.I. fancy jasper find in the top-right, some kind of jasper with lots of neat patterns just below it, picture jasper on the right side with some dalmation jasper, a quartzy material with a rather ambitious preform marked on it for how thin the slab is, uhhh lets see, some rhodonite slabs-looks just like the Hill 60 variety from Cowichan lake on Vancouver Island, some natural & dyed polished & rough slabbed agate and the fancy jasper & moss slabs
Even more slabs & cabbers & other goodies to choose from!
On the top-left we have some fossil coral from Rock Kitten (we miss you Seig, please come back! )
Top-center is some chrysocola, rough garnet in the top-right, heliotrope (bloodstone) on the bottom right and plenty of goodies from D.D. all around. ;D
These photos represent a good portion of the contents on the outset of this round but there's still lots more great stuff I didn't takes pics of. I had to do this fairly quickly as I am getting ready to leave on holidays for a week to the Okanagan, B.C. but a promise is a promise and I DID promise pics, enjoy!
