Got a few more new ones from last week to share. Unknown Agate 1: Unknown Agate 2: Pietersite: (This was my first time working this. It's a tiny bit pitty in the matrix, but overall came out well, I think). Picture Jasper 1: Picture Jasper 2 (this one's double-sided): Front: Back: Carnelian: This is a special little guy. He's just over a cm wide. It was such a pretty little scrap, that I couldn't bear to waste it. So, I decided to try making a tiny double-sided cab. Here's the result...no dopping. Front: Back:

Pietersite is very interesting rock, where did you pick it up? Great polishing too..... ;D I got two small slabs from a local rock show. They were $1 each, so I don't think I was working with super high quality material. I thought it would be a good way to give working with it a shot. I found it to be quite pleasant to work. Ground well and took a really nice polish.

Nice Titania! Love the shape of the second unknown agate, and I'm flipping for the front side of the second picture jasper!! It's a great set all around.

Ok you ground that little bitty stone with no dope stick. So what do your finger nails look like? Jim Nice finish on um.. WD. Lol! Believe it or not, I didn't really nick myself at all working that tiny cab. Sometimes it pays to be a woman with small hands. The most difficult thing about working something that small was hanging onto it so it didn't go flying.

Wow Titania, you have done another great job on those .. you have really taken to doing cabs.
I have 2 small pieces of Pietersite thats I just started working but I'm finding it very very hard material . I hope they come out as nice as yours did
