Well, I'm late to the party, but glad I had the ID. There are a lot of Ordovician fossils in the Cincinnati area, so I was guessing that they were in Lexington area, too. Definitely looked like a coral. The coral pieces I've found from that area were about the size of a quarter and not agatized.
Nice find! You might want to make a cut perpendicular to the growth and I expect you would have a nice face of circles or hexagons.

Yeah, you are so right, there were fossils all over the place and I actually picked up this geode hoping for an agate inside. Lucky for me it is distinctive enough that I figured it out. I don't know whether to cut it any more, or not. It has a lot of pores in it and might be cooler as a specimen.
