He's a bearded collie. Males go up to 55lbs. His daddy was on the big side.
Mr. Fairburn has a little problem with a nut, so to speak. One of his little ones hasn't come down. For this reason, he's not eligible to be a show dog so the breeder let go of him as "pet quality." He's a real sweetheart.

Whatta handsome pup Deb! His markings (especially in the last pic) remind me of a Panda

Well, he is kind of like a big cuddly panda teddy bear.

Tell ya what, gem, mom & dad were going to rob him of it/them whether there were one or two of them. We aren't into the show dog thing, we just want all the doggies to have great homes like they deserve.

Nice pet. I work with animals all day as an Animal Control officer for the Friendswood TX Police. I think you will love your new member of the famly.

What a cutie! I agree, bearded collies are on my list. Our new dog has decided he really likes us and feels very comfortable in the house; he likes us so well, he ate Matt's flip flops, the plunger, an electrical cord to ? (don't know yet, must not have been plugged into anything LOL), the toilet paper.... while his bone and special doggie toys were sitting next to him. The vet says he's a year old, I thought we were going to be OK on the chewy thang, darn it! Best of luck to you and Fairburn; I think he needs a collar studded w/Fairburn agates! K

Hey, I missed the latest posts. Haven't been to the board so much. I agree about the collar with Fairburn agates. He is now up to 30 lbs! He was 19 when we got him around 7/24. Sweet as ever. So he is a purebred & that's different from our line of wonderful pound dogs. We aren't going to hold that against him.
