Months ago I found this as a slab in a rock show, and fell in love - it tumbled really nicely and gave me several pendants - and I was really good about writing down the name of the slab, when I bought it - but . . . I forgot Any ideas? fablesrocks.files.wordpress.com/2008/07/pendant6.jpg?w=300&h=242I apologize for linking instead of posting the image, I can't seem to get it to work for me today.

Isn't it? I just fell in love - but can't remember what they told me it was. I want to say it started with C, but that hasn't been helping me remember

Could be carresite or morrisonite jasper or evn an example of plasma agate from California but my best guess would be one of the former two....Mel

I'd second Mel's suggestion that its probably Carresite, a very nice piece of it I might add- Plasma agate usually has more of a transparent, almost chrysoprase-like look to the green portions and more of a light beige matrix rather then the deep tan color this has.

Oh, that's it! That's what he said - Carresite ! I wanted to say something that sounded like carot, but wasn't completely sure I adore this stuff - got two slabs and came out with several lovely freeform pendants. The slabs had the look of lava waterfalls - just amazing stuff.

Polished...I think ya got the right Id...just wanted to show ya how close it can look to something else. this is morrisonite but see the ribbons? You have some in yours too. now here's a piece I got out of a slab bin at a local shop. Don't know which one it is for sure but I lean towards morrisonite.

I have more freeforms of the first one's slab, that include more greens. I'm trying to get around to taking more photos!

Carrisite and Morrisonite are closely related, pretty much the same formation type of material but from different locations.
If the supplier said it was carrisite, I'd not argue with that...
