Any ideas what these two are called? Again, I was told - failed to write it down - and forgot I LOVE the subtle waves in this deep, deep wine color.

Dang, that first one looks like blue Bruneau. I wonder if it's the blue Biggs that Stoner has posted below.

My guesses would be Misty Mountain for the first and Crazy Lace for the second. Beautiful whatever they are

Definitely Blue Biggs Jasper on the first one. Not sure on second.

Blue Biggs Jasper? Cool Do you really think the second one could be crazy lace? There's none of the swirling that I'm used to in crazy lace, but I have no idea what else it could be. I'll post more pictures this weekend, cabs with a better view. The last few batches I've done that are still waiting to be drilled have so many in them that *I* want to keep ! Every day that passes in this hobby I find more and more incredible beauty in nature. I love it!

Could be Misty Mountian. That deep wine red is not common. Maybe WIllow Creek. Red is more common there.

I'll try to get a few more photographed this weekend - there's a stripe that runs through the corner of a couple cabs that really bring out the wine coloring. And the waves, although prominent in the photo, are very subtle in natural lighting.

The 1st one pattern wise looks like Dunes Jasper though the color is not right. The 2nd one is not crazy lace Imop but then i can not say what it is. They are both sweet though. George

I can't make a good guess. My bad guess is Willow Creek. I just cut some Misty Mountain, but the color is tough.

I wanted to put a couple of pic's out there so you could have a reference. Without a general area of where it was found, IDing can be tricky. this is hampton butte petwood from oregon. See the little orbs or waves? i was real surprized to see this in the rough I tumbled. The lines in your top pic are much more defined than here. (I'm thinking the wood grain attributed to this.) this is some blue biggs and/or deschutes. Clearly not close to your specimen. Willow creek. Orbs are more billowy. (is that even a word? LOL) look very top on this last pic. that's also willow creek and the color is more along the lines of what you have but it doesn't seem to have orbs...just geometric lines. My point being that sometimes ya just don't know fer sure. My guess would be misty mountain (although I've never worked with it) first then maaaayyyyyybeeeee willow...but what the hell do I know? LOL

The colors and patterns just amaze me. Mostly I try to write down what I'm told when I buy a slab, just so I can then tell customers at a show, when they're asking "What's this one?" Sometimes I'm forced to make a best guess and hope I sound convincing!
