Hello, everyone! Yesterday I had some time to polish some rocks. I picked some local ones and begun to polish them on their natural surfaces: a pet wood with outstanding structure (grain): A piece of agate in rhiolite - this is not my rock, a friend gave it to me asking me to polish one face. I polished two faces, I like the sharpness of the edges between the faces. This one kept sharp: And this one is the cab, that was intended to be a naturally surfaced polish too. But the rock was pretty small and while working at it I realized its potential as a cab. It's a local rock that I picked in the rockhounding trip a few weeks ago. Does that cab look to you like the map of the Mediterranean Sea, or is it just me eagerly waiting to leave in vacation? Marika, I can almost spot Cyprus in there! And here's a pic with the shine: Thanks for looking, Adrian

Those are great. I can see why you chose to cab that last one. That is one serious mirror glass shine! It is showing off some nice big trees.

Well Hello again Adrian!...Sure Looks like you've perfected the whole cabbing thing~! I think the way you polish only one face of a rock and leave the rest in it's natural state has gotta be one of the most beautiful styles there is, when it comes to showcasing a stone..
oh and the cab is just as bad ass~ Killer shine !
*smiles*

What a nice group you have there. I like the wood but the cab is outstanding. Sure does look like the Mediterranean Sea and I'm sure you have vacation on the mind.
