Here is my current batch of amber and copal. Tumbled as per Connrock's recipe only. I will be doing another 24 hour polish in walnut shell and red rouge to see if it makes it even better. The amber is fantastic. Very bright and shiny, very much like good citrine. The copal has a green tinge to it and not as shiny, small scratches: Okay, here's the amber/copal as it is right now. I have not dry vibed it in walnut and rouge yet: And, a FLY! or mosquito, or something, showed up. Bottom left of the big piece: For the thread on vibe tumbling amber: forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/index.cgi?board=tottumb&action=display&thread=24258I'll post more pictures after I do the dry walnut polish. Eileen, this stuff is fabulous. Very shiny and sparkly.
It's very cool that one of your pieces has an insect in it.
You've got such a great shine now, cant imagine it shinier.

Those are going to be great on your Amber Tree. The one with the Insect would go straight in my display cabinet. ;D

Thanks, guys!
I want to get some more amber tumbled for a tree as I don't think there is enough of the amber color to offset the copal greenness. Or I might just do a full amber tree sans copal. The amber is more opaque and would hide the metal of the branches better.

Okay, as posted in another message I did the walnut rouge dry vibe thing.
The process did not improve the amber at all. The process wrecked the copal. Heh. It appears to have dyed it red. I'm retumbling the copal in 200 g and it's finally removed the surface layers of rouge, however the copal below is now a dingy brown instead of a greenish yellow.
