I found some interesting pieces of feldspar and quartz mixed together. Because of the hardness difference would these tumble well? They seem pretty firmly combined but I don't know how the hardness affects tumbling.

I would think you would get under cutting withe the softer material (Feldspar)

Hey, where'd he go? If you are still reading this Josh, or if others wonder the same thing, those mixed quartz/feldspar materials actually make very good tumbling material. I find that there is no undercutting, and both the quartz and feldspar take an excellent shine. Here's a couple quick pix to give you an idea... not the greatest pix, but should show that the tumble works out fine. -Don
