I just had to slice one of my roots, at least just the tip and dome polish the end. This is one of the roots i found last week at Saddle Mountain, Washington. In case you want to read the report, i posted it in the trip and show section. I was really happy when I sliced it and saw the cut. I talked to a friend of mine in Oregon, someone who knows a huge amount about wood, and the Saddle mountain area especially,(Cam Grow), and he told me these are Cyprus roots, and this is called 'orange rind' because of the orange rind around it. I think I'm gonna do another one before long. Just had to post it though. ;D Steve

Those are real pretty. The top one looks like the iris of an eye. You really got some beautiful pet wood!
