Mary is my wife, has a degree in art and is a painter. I am red green color blind, so I keep bugging Mary to design some cabs for me to cut. Her scenes and shapes are different than what I would choose and different designs keep you out of a rut. She did 20 on Saturday and I cut five today. The youngite broke when I was cutting it and she redesigned it while I was finishing the other cabs. Blue mountain, Owyhee Morrisonite, youngite, Desert Queen

Ha, I'm color blind too. I usually go by patterns first and all of these have great patterns. I expect you do that too because they are all framed so well to the material. Love those last three especially! I like to work opal because the color comes at you so strong you don't even think about what color it is. Opal color just goes right to the brain and you bypass the knowing what it is part Tony

You do make a great team, those are gorgeous. I find the Desert Queen very interesting; it looks like a scene in Egypt, is that how they named it? And how interesting! Seems there are quite a few red/green colorblind artists. How do you all do it? K

Your wife picked out the right shape for each stone to create a perfect cab. You did a great cutting and polishing them.
