From the land of the Bluenose....up till now I have only used my Loritone Tumbler to clean clad coins as I metal detect. Wife picked up some stones that she wants polished. Put a few in the tumbler with stainless steel bearings that I picked up at a local hobby shop where I purchased the machien. Question is...what do i do now? Appreciate your help and looking forward to active participation on this forum!

Welcome to the board! You do not say what kind of stones. Beach stones maybe? Anyway, I do not think the bearings will do much of anything unless the stones are really soft. You will probably need to get some Silicon Carbide grit. Refer to the 4 step process on the home page and you will definitly be on your way to shiny rocks. Most of all have fun.

From a coin collector standpoint I would think you would never want to put coins in a tumbler to clean them as that would greatly devalue the worth of the coin. Just my humble opinion though...
