Well, I ran these before but when they got to pre-polish they chipped. I started them over and added more stones. I used sugar and pellets for cushioning from the second grit on. There were still a few chips but so much better than I had expected! ;D Thank you for looking. Fran

The shine is great. What are the tiny stones on the right? They are really interesting.

They are garnets. They really polish up great but they are so small, it is hard not to throw them out with the sludge when you clean between grits. I think they were worth the trouble though.

Beautiful! I don't have the patience for quartz, because of the chipping. I've heard it said if you can do that batch, the agates and jaspers will be easy for for you!

Quartz has to be my favourite. It's annoying to tumble, but you got it down. The amethyst is the best! How do you like using the sugar? I've never tried that. Is that what you use instead of plastic beads to cushion the stones?
