This one is some sort of jasper, not sure what exactly, but it's very tiny Do you think I'm improving a bit? Still have problems with the curve on the top of the cab, I just can't get it nice and smooth, hope I'll be able to do it one day... At least the cabs get a bit shinier than my first ones... Marika

If he slabs are less than 1/4" you will have problems doming. Try cutting an angle all the way around. Then cut a steeper angle around. Repeat until you are near the top then round the whole thing off. I thing you are doing great and getting a really nice polish.

Nice, Marika! I definitely think you're improving! The shine you get on each is getting better and better. I really like the shape of this one, too.

Hey Marika, I think your doing great , your cabs are getting shinier with everyone you do .. Like John says just keep cutting angles , working towards the middle of the cab , thats how I have been doing mine .. I start with a 45 degree , give or take , and just keep changing the angle as I get closer to the middle. You wont be able to round off the thin cabs .. there just isnt enough rock. You may want to work with thicker slabs. I set aside the real thin ones for now, until I get better
keep up the great work Dennis

Tiny cabs are harder to shape than larger ones but this one looks pretty good. You are getting a good shine too. Keep on improving.

Looks good, Marika! Small is hard sometimes. Just keep moving and rocking that stone from side to side and top to bottom. Hope you are using a dop on those small ones T
