I wasn't sure if I s hould post these in the general area or here, since not everyone on here is into minerals, figured I'd post them on here. We've had a BUSY summer and not much rock hunting. A friend of ours has been giving us lots of stuff out of the Brushy Creek mine in the Viburnum Trend so figured I'd post some pictures. I'm hoping for some sunshine today as I have a few people dying for me to take some pics of some other really nice things. The above one is pyrite and dolomite. The picture doesn't do this quality, it is gorgeous. I put this one in the display cabinet at my store, kids are dying to play with it! I can't find the better picture of this one, just a neat neat calcite crystals growth Another neat calcite growth. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and I can get some better pics posted. We will see. I've got lots of just single calcite crystals with pyrite on the sides of them too, wasn't sure how well the mineral thing would go over though.

Thanks for posting. I love looking at minerals and crystals especially through a loop. The dolomite and pyrite specimen is beautiful. I find crystal structures so fascinating.

Very nice specimens!! The pyrite/dolmite looks like it wants to jump and grab you! Seeing how you like minerals I will post a photo of what I think is an awesome specimen I own. I'm NOT trying to "hijack" your post.Just thought you might enjoy the photo. This is my pride and joy,,,,,, Heulandite and Mordenite Here's a link to some of my minerals,,,,,, imageevent.com/tcknkk/minerals?n=0&z=9&c=4&x=1&m=24&w=0&p=0Tom connrock

Thanks, I wasn't sure how they'd be taken, so everynow and then will post some of what I have and of course, need to post some more of our drusy. I'll be sure to put on the subject line....mineral or something like that. That Heulandite is awesome! No problem posting something like that. I like the minerals as much as rocks, I like color, obviously none of this gets tossed into a polisher! Sandy

Nice batch Sandy! I like minerals but don't look for them. If I run across a specimen, I'll darn sure pick it up though. Curt
